Bars away from main street
« on: September 19, 2008, 14:19:09 PM »
Hi, my family and i had a fantastic 1st holiday to Hisaronu this year and we very much intend to return next year - however i would like some recomendations for bars away from the main highstreet, more of a 'local' bar and not a kareoke / dance bar.
While my kids like the 'foam party's' and 'time out's' etc my wife and i would prefer a quieter drink and a place to relax away from the hotel & resturaunts.

Any suggestions welcomed

You could choose Ovacik as a place to stay as it has quieter bars where you can a relax but still within easy reach of Hisaronu for the kids.

Try Shades.

Walk down to the start of the pedestrian area (in operation at night) beside the Chinese restaurant and turn right.

Shades is a short distance along.  Deniz and the guys are a great bunch.  Decent food and a nice atmosphere.

Hi you could try Blue Bar at the bottom of the village. Turn left at dolmus roundabout (as if if heading for Kaya) Blue Bar is on left hand side about 100 yards.  We have been going there for about 9 years (we used to stay at the Blue Hisar apartments there before we bought in Calis. Tekin is the owner and his staff - particularly Izzy and Ilhan - are absolutely magic.
