Yeh yeh - so if it ended up in Turkey how come there are no elephants or lions (etc etc) there? Surely they can't all have been repatriated?

Anything is better than the election.

I thought they found something on mount Ararat years ago, I am agnostic and not a believer in the bible yet the stories intrigue me.

Did you know (Scunner trivia moment #3433)

The bible does not say that two of each animal were taken onto the ark to be saved? They were in sevens, apart from "unclean beasts" which were in twos.

Gen. 7:2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

Apparently the animals entered the ark "two by two" but there weren't just two of each kind. So now you know :D

All unclean beasts went in pairs, except maggots, they went in apples.

Slightly diffeent version in the Quran where believers were invited together with a pair of each of the animals that they had.
