Well maybe not but thank God we are through  8)

Euro 2008 was miserable with England not qualifying, I couldn't bear the thought of England going out of the World Cup before the summer hols.

P.S. I said Upson should have been in from the start :D

But whilst only 1-0 surely a different team than against Algeria - at least we looked as though it should have been 4-0 !

What a relief...Phew!!  It was hard to watch the last few minutes.
England where a different team for this match.  However, they always play better in Red.

Its great they got through to the last 16 but Germany wont be nowhere as easy as Slovenia.History tells us this will be a real hard game for us as always.I still think Rooney is way below his best and needs click into gear against Germany for us to stand any real chance.

It is irritating the hell out of me that every news programme is presenting this as "good news - England are through, bad news - we have to play Germany".

I can't think of a German national side in the last 40 years I'd prefer to be playing, bring them on...
