As I may have mentioned before, my local is a home to a crew of of Grumpy Old Men (GOMs). Here is an exchange from this lunchtime's session.
GOM1 is telling a story about his charitable help to a friend. GOM2, unimpressed, puts him down: "Well, ain't you The Good Samaritan!". GOM3 then puts the boot in: "A Samaritan? Bloody foreigner, you should be deported!".
