home security static ip provider
« on: June 14, 2012, 19:12:19 PM »
I'm looking to install a few security cameras when I next call over which will email/image capture when triggered.
Looks like I can only connect to them from the uk through a static ip address.
Does anyone else have anything similar to this installed in turkey?
Does anyone offer broadband with a static ip?

I'm fairly sure it is an option offered by TTnet

You should also consider power cuts that happen often in winter while planning your system.

If you contact Serdar Dede at TTNet in the office opposite the dolmus terminus by the big mosque in Fethiye, he can sort this for you. It's about 5tl/month.

In terms of serious webcam software, this is hard to beat.

The pro version.

Well I have bought 2 cameras, both give 360 degree coverage and a cracking night vision too.
Ttnet offer a static ip for very little (2.5TL monthly).
However I have just noticed they currently offer something called a Smart house pack.
6GB internet, television 86 channels and phone all for 49TL.
Has anyone else got this package and do I need to provide my own router?

That sounds brilliant, I pay more than that for Internet only. Has anyone sorted out the static IP option yet? I have just had a camera brought over and is the same as my son has set up on our house in the UK. It works brilliantly, has motion detection, recording, night vision and can be operated by tapping the screen on your phone or IPad.

I have been able to get the camera working on my home network but I believe that I will need a static IP to use it over the Internet.
