If he's got a full Turkish licence he can. However, by law, he should change his Turkish licence to a UK one after 12 months residency in the UK. The chances of anyone checking though are very slim.

Yes Scunner he has a full Turkish licence and also provisional UK licence and been driving here for 5 years. He also has dual Citizenship but when we enquired about him taking a UK driving test to upgrade his licence they said he would need lessons first he can't just apply for a driving test. More money making schemes.

Well, if he's been there 5 years he's well and truly over the 12 month limit.

He uses his provisional licence KKOB with me in the car. We have insurance for us both.
