Porridge
« on: October 06, 2017, 21:58:58 PM »
Revamping a TV Classic sounded like a mistake.

However, wasn't nearly as bad as I had feared - mainly due to the writing rather than the performances it should be said.

But then again how does anyone follow Ronnie Barker.

To me it is simply pointless and irritating. Confirmation that so-called comedy writers are completely devoid of their own ideas for sitcoms.

I agree that writers should be looking for new sitcoms but if I hadn't seen the original Porridge I would have thought that the writing in this evenings episode was very good.
