How would you stand with your insurance company if you had a break in while you were away and they got in through a window that was slightly open even though locked.
I only ask because when we had our windows replaced here years ago we were shown the vents and locks (and they are left like that pretty much all the time when we're at home) but told never to leave them open on the vent when we go away because insurance companies wouldn't pay out.  How true that is I don't know, if may just depend on the insurers.
Just a thought  ???

Oh, don't worry. Insurers will search for ANY excuse not to pay out.

Oh I know that KKOB to my own cost! But just wondered if anyone else had heard anything like that.
