Flooding
« on: January 31, 2019, 17:53:00 PM »
Mrs Madmart has just shown me a video of flooding in Calis. It looks pretty bad by the dolphinless roundabout although it does seem that Flipper would be happy there.

Does anyone know how far inland the water has spread?

Madmart,

With respect -I'm fairly sure that people in Calis who maybe affected will not find your comment about flipper funny

Most of the Kaya Valley west of Belen is under at least a foot of water. Going by past years it'll take several weeks to subside.

John is there any need?
I took this as a joke and I'm sure many others will too

Madmart
I've seen pictures on FB of Kaya, Ovacik and Hisonaru flooded too.  It seems to be all over the area.
I also seen someone post a pic of their pool in Calis, emptied at the end of the season but now full
It's certainly been an awful winter for the region

The jokey comment was added as I am one of the property owners who could have a problem.

I am glad that most people see it as a joke and it was in no way meant to make light of the situation.

I fail to see why I should have to explain myself over a jocular if flippant (sorry) remark.

Madmart

For my part I was thinking of people who I might know whose business and/or home might be severly damaged.

You don't have to explain  - we just take a different view.

I sincerely hope that your property is not affected.

Madmart...... I took you Flipper comment as a joke...quite witty infact!!

I know you didn't mean to trivialise any damage that people may have to their properties because of the flood  :)

Can we get back to the flooding now that's all understood?
