RESIDENCY PERMITS - 2006
« on: January 12, 2006, 10:38:05 AM »
Hi everyone.

Do any of you know the costs for residency permits in 2006, seeing as there is always a price increase for the new year.

I would be extending an already exisiting permit.

Thanks

Contact Asli at Fethiye Translation Bureau......I am sure she will have the up to date info. Use the Search engine for her details. Might be good to post the info on the Forum as I know other members would like to know.  Particularly as there are RUMOURS of a price reduction! :)

I know when we did it there was no monetary saving by taking it out for five years but at least you don't have to worry about renewing every year.  :)

Sorry to tell you all but a 5 years residency costs 2208 lira, approximately £880.  This price has come from the British Consulate and also every year the price will rise by approximately 10%.
Depending on your country of origin, the price varies - from as little as 50 euro to the British rates which are the most expensive and Americans pay nothing!!!

Sophie.

There are supposed to be talks taking place to reduce the amount because of the sharp increase a couple of years ago. How long that will take though who can say, I suppose you could hedge your bets and buy annually but it could be a lot of hassle in the end.
