Title: Mooring Up
Post by: WordBird on June 22, 2015, 15:19:02 PM
Does anyone know if you can moor up at the little jetties on Sovalye - or indeed the other beaches around Fethiye - in your own boat?

We're thinking of taking ours over one day when we have visitors - obviously we'd be using the facilities there - and would rather be able to go directly onto dry land rather than having to drop anchor and swim in....!

You could call the restaurant and ask them if it's OK to moor there. 0 533 138 7050

There is or was last year a very rickety jetty at aksazlar beach, just deep enough in places to moor a shallow draft boat to, a couple of the calis water taxis came in to it as there was a wedding there, one ferried in the bride. Further round, out to sea, sorry Don't know name of beach, alesta yachting had a jetty with water & electric, it's one of the bays the Orange dolmus goes to. Water cleaner than aksazlar. Hillside also have a jetty, but you will certainly be charged to tie up here. Towards gocek, there is a jetty at gunuklu (sorry about spelling), called something like the bay beach club, again sure you would pay to dock here.
