Where to get ear pierced?

My Russian friend was asking me where she could get her ear pierced (or maybe even nose!), I know a couple of people who do ear piercing in fethiye-on the harbour (sounds doogey doesnt it lol!) and in of the bead shop in fethiye.  But, they all use the guns I believe and these are not recommended for piercing really, it is thought they are unhygienic, I dont know what others think of this, as of course the earring go straight into your ear-anyway we are looking for someone hygiencic who uses a needle.  What would anyone recommend, anybody had a piercing done in this area???

There's a place next to Sabri -Liza's Pies and Pastries (next to Scarletts) in Calis.  It's a Tattoo place.  I not certain if they do piercings but I think they do.

For normal ear piercing, I use the gun. The way you feed the sterile earrings into the gun, means your hands never have to touch any part of the earring. I think this method is far more hygienic IMHO.

I think Kaya next to Pastries & Pies in Calis does piercing but he doesn't open much in the winter.

i have had my ears pierced 3 times with the gun and no infection
it is how good you yourself are with the aftercare

When I had my ears pierced originally a gun was used and they suggested using vaseline for aftercare, -no problems.  When I had 2nd piercing done (in ears, folks) with gun, I was told to use surgical spirit.  I can tell you this is BAAAAAD.  My ears didn't heal, they were sore for weeks, in the end I used Savlon ointment and one dose was enough to begin the healing...

My daughter did mine (many years ago) with a couple of ice cubes and a darning needle!!!! I was under anaesthetic at the time (drunk as a lord)
