Parking in Fethiye

Can anyone suggest a good car parking place near the centre of Fethiye.
I've finally decide to hire a car, but I'll probably end up with loads of parking tickets.

There is a car park right on the harbour edge - next to the monument just past carrefour on the right (after the one way system splits)...  I think its about 7tl for a full day's parking....

I use the one at the other end of the harbour - up the road where MacDonalds is, and when levelish with MacDonalds on your left, turn right. Pay the little man at the kiosk, proceed, park. If there is no man and no kiosk, and you are feeling suddenly much colder and having difficulty breathing, it isn't exactly a right turn at MacDonalds at all, and you have just driven into the sea.

The beauty of this one is you always get somewhere to park.

we also use that one, but don't even think about it on a Tuesday !!! (market day !).

Although that said, you can always get a decent fish and chip meal from Popeyes while you wait.....mmmm

If is in the school holidays you can always park in the playgrounds of the schools on the one way system into Fethiye centre I think it was only 2 or 3 TL last year for all day :)

Just use the on street parking. It's dead easy. One of the lads/or lasses in the orange uniforms will take your money and get a ticket for you. Most of them speak a bit of English so you won't have a problem making yourself understood.

If you park around town in the parking designated areas (as we do) just leave the car when you come back you will have a ticket on it with the time, then you just pay one of the parking guys whatever the charge is...simples.
We have never used a car park yet.

Depends really how long you are staying in town for. If you have a couple of hours there, definately park in a car park, alot cheaper than on the road parking! I always park in the one at the Nufus office building, across from the Belediye offices. If you have a couple of things to do and won't be long then just use the on road parking.
