Got to admit I am puzzled.  Looking at the pictures the Water Taxi offices and stores plu the ticket office all look like. They are there?

I think you need to work from the bottom up (photos) - taxi offices had gone on Friday when we were down there.

Got it.... Be interested to see how they will replace the WaterTaxi jetty, ticket office and offices/stores.

Looking at Jim`s photos it looks like the new concrete dock on the right hand side of the river will be the new berth for the water taxis. It looks to me like the whole of the reed beds up to the bay will be eradicated thus eliminating the wonderful sight of kingfishers & other wonderful sights to be seen on the way out and in from Calis. I think the Turks are destroying the very thing that attracts tourists to the area in the first place ie, natural habitat that is diminishing in the western world, I appreciate that there is a flood issue, but at the final length of the project especially next to the so called sanctuary it will sanitise what was there. Hopefully, wiser members of the forum will be able to correct me on the assumptions  I have gleaned from the posts. Love the Forum. :-\ :(

I just hope they get it all looking nice again for May. Visitors aren't going to appreciate both a lack of green (a real shame if reedbeds go) and a sterile outlook.
