Title: hello everyone
Post by: kevinc250 on December 21, 2019, 16:51:22 PM
my first post, kevin and Amanda from Yorkshire, we've been coming to turkey on and off over the last 20 plus years, always stayed in hisonaru but its not for us now- we seem to think when we were there we were just used as cash cows, last year we stayed in ovacik and mostly ate out in fethiye.
we want to branch out to calis next year and this forum is so so informative, i'm sure we are going to ask all sorts of questions just bear with us (Amanda doesn't do forums so I have to do all the leg work and report back).

thanks for the warm welcome people!, if you could just bear with us while we ask many questions as next year- depending on flight prices (Amanda doesn't know this by the way) I think a drive down from antayla could be on the cards maybe staying somewhere over night, we are in our 50's with knackered everything really so we are into taking it slow and relaxed, I've read the coast route is good to do so that. may be worth looking into

Welcome both.

If you're driving the coast road from Antalya, it's well worth considering stopping for 1 or 2 nights in Kas.

Nice little seaside town. Plenty of little hotels, shops and restaurants. Some nice walks along the coast or up into the mountains. Day trips across to Meis / Kastellorizo, the most easterly of the Greek islands.

Don't take my word for it, Google it.

hi kkob, just shown amanda piccies of kas via trip adviser, looks like we are staying over for a few days, thanks for the info it looks perfect, bless she's wanting to stop on the way back aswell, so, at the moment its looking like a flight into antayla, bus to kas, then onto fethiye and taxi to calis, which brings me onto looking into s/c apartments in calis, we prefer something away from the hussle and bussle and don't mind walking so maybe that's better to post on the main forum I guess
thanks so so much people for your help so far, its opened our eyes as to what is possible and possibly a much more fun way of having a holiday.
