Had lunch here today, the place has only been open 5 days. Well worth a visit. It used to be Rokka then Berra

Went there last week for a Turkish breakfast, have to say it was fab, loads of tasty food, good portions, the place has been totallying refurbished and is spotlessly clean, will be going again

Went for lunch last week, it was mixed reviews, service very slow, meals on table getting cold while the waiter had a chat with someone whilst getting our cutlery.
My friends specifically asked if the piri piri chicken was dry or in a sauce, and were told sauce.
There was no sauce, it was dry and tasteless. They asked for sauce and a while later some kind of white sauce with a hint of cheese arrived and a bottle of chilli sauce.
After mixing the 2 together it was interesting and edible but not what they expected.
I opted for 2 starters, the calamari was very anaemic, but not chewy, but the vegetable fritters were delicious.
And good coffee, which is always a deal breaker for me!
Seems luck of the draw which waiter you get, a lady arrived shortly after and she was lovely and very efficient.
It's definitely the busiest I've seen it in months, always lots of people when we pass by.
Would like to try the Turkish breakfast, been recommended by a few people.

We went a few times in June and can recommend. We had the turkish breakfast - vast and delicious! I had the chicken marinated in soy sauce salad one day and it was lovely.

Can someone point me in the right direction please.........I'll be in Calis in two weeks. Thanks.

It was good - watch you don't fill up on the cheesy dippy stuff though - it's so more-ish :P

Went there on Monday. Ownership has changed in the last week. To be honest we were very disappointed as on previous visits in July and August they seemed to be getting to a good standard. It may be early days yet for new owners but the staff had little idea what they were doing, the food was limited although the previous menu was still being used. I understand they may be turning it into a more traditional Turkish food restaurant but who knows? Perhaps they need a couple of weeks to sort themselves out. Seems this place is fated never to continue with the same owners for very long!

What a shame, we were planning a visit this week for a village breakfast - may give it a miss now.
-
We went to the Roca when it first opened about eight years ago and had an excellent meal then went downhill after changing hands several times. Had an excellent meal last night would recommend

Barrie and I haven't been in since Tulin died there...We just couldn't face it no matter who runs it now...
