Went to fill up car with gas the other day, asked in Turkish (Yirmi Lutfen)he filled us up, I just happened to glance at the meter and he had only put 9 lira in, I told my husband so he looked at the meter and all of a sudden the attendant ran back out sorry sorry problem and plugged the pipe back in and put the 11 lira missing in so just be aware when filling up, watch the meter and sometimes they give you a receipt and sometimes they dont, we are now always going to ask for a receipt, imagine what a profit they make in a day with all the tourists filling up and diddling each one out of 11 lira.

Isn't that petrol station owned by the guy who owns Bella Mamma's? I'd have a word with him I think.

Is it the one at the top of the mountain as you come up from Fethiye to Ovacik

Bit surprised every one dosnt look at the pump read outs. I usually keep the receipt and put it under a fridge magnet on the dash with the odometer reading as a bit of a reminder. Also for what its worth,I usually rock the jeep as its pumping to get the max gas in.J

As the summer approaches it's a good idea NOT to fill fuel tanks to their maximum. This allows for expansion of the fuel in the summer heat. I've often seen overfilled tanks leaking in the heat of the day.
It's not only a fire hazard but a waste of money.
