What is the procedure when flying back to UK & having to leave your British car at customs?

Last time I enquired,they said give us you dates,turn up,leave documents,car and keys.there is a fee per day,was 7 lira per day last year,as you drive in to airport follow the road towards international terminal,blue sign points you toward customs on your left.
