My neighbour had one yesterday and I have just received a message via my Turkish mobile phone, allegedly from the POLIS (there spelling)asking for credit details do not respond its a con[:(!]
-
The message I had yesterday isn't a con. It's advising that there is a credit card scam going on at the moment, full details on the website address they give. It's basically telling you to go careful.

Donna, Sorry you are correct, (thats what you get when waking a Turk from his kip!and asking a question about a text message ;))I have just spoken to his wife (who was out in the field working, no change there then) and she indeed confimed its infomation and a warning to be on your guard. :-\

Also recently an alert from Finansbank about an email or text scam that was allegedly from them - but its not.
As I delete all mails and msgs from them without reading anyway I don't have more info.
