Title: Grouting

Hi,I am going to be taking grout out of between tiles around pool and regrouting,obviously wetting old grout before scraping out.Can the dust if any do any harm to the pump etc,only concern I have.(Will regrout later at night)

isn't your pump in a concealed cell? how is dust going to get in the pump?

yes it is in a concealed area,the concerns I had was any dust going in carried by water, as I do not have any experience with pools and pumps,thus the question.Just trying to get some advice from people who know about these things.

To be on the safe side my advice would be to do it at the beginning of the season when the pool is empty.

Firstly you cant do grouting with water in the pool, you would normally do it springtime before filling.

if you are rinsing the pool out and draining through the pump it should cause no problems if you have it set to drain when switched on.
