Title: E-visa on arrival in Turkey.
Post by: Ray1951 on June 12, 2014, 08:09:22 AM
I was very impressed with the efficiency and swift passage through Dalaman Airport with the new e-visa. I had all my paperwork in hand only to realise that everything is electronically stored on your passport so there is no need to present your copy of the e-visa. I suppose having a copy is a good idea to be on the safe side but I was well pleased with how things went.  :D

We arrived late evening on the 29th May, three planes had landed within a short space of time, and the visa people could not cope.  We queued for over an hour to get through, and in our queue the grumpy bloke behind the desk perused carefully both passports and e-visas of every person.  It was a total nightmare and even worse when we had already sat on the plane for over an hour before we took off.

Yes Echogirl1 and if you come back again on the same visa you will have to queue just the same again. The old system where those that needed to get the old stamp visa had to queue for theirs and you didn't so you could go straight to passport control and out quite quickly  : :)
