Race For Life, Fethiye 2016
I have recently found out that this is going ahead, and the date this year is 1st May.

As some of you may know, I have been training hard this winter for the Half Marathon on Antalya, 6th March.
This is the first long race that I have ever done. Are there any CBF'rs who would sponsor me for this run and the
monies going to Race For Life??

I will also be running the 5km on the 1st May  :)

Unfortunately we fly home on the 1st May so we won't be able to do  the race this year. :( :(

Personally I don't think it's a very good day to hold the race, it's a public holiday, "Labour Day" If the weather is good the Kordon very crowded, I'm surprised the police gave the go ahead.

Ran the 1/2 marathon today.. in 2hrs 33 mins.  :D  Was a hot and sunny run, came away with a suntan, so did Baz and he was the photographer!!
Looking forward to running the 5km in Fethiye on the 1st May.

DonM, have jus copied this from Face Book, posted today..

This years event is being held on Sunday 1st May 2016 at 10am which is a 5km Race starting at The Culture Centre, along Fethiye Kordon and back. The Adults Race will begin at 10am and this will then be followed by the Children’s Race.
Registration forms and t-shirts can be purchased from FETAV Office in Fethiye. The cost of the t-shirts are 20tl each and sizes are S, M, L and X-Large. Registration forms and t-shirts are available from Ankavet from Tuesday 8th March 2016; they will also be available from Fig Charity Shop, Animal Aid Charity Shop and 3c’s Charity Shop.
Race for Life will have a stall at the Fig Easter Craft Fayre on Tuesday 15th March from 11am – 4pm which is held at the side of Address Café on the Kordon.
By participating and paying a small entrance fee of 15tl, 5tl for children and collecting sponsors it is hoped that enough money will be raised to purchase the much needed equipment.

Thanks for the update. We fly out on that day so we are very disappointed that we will be unable to take part this year. :( :(  We did plan to do the walk with Mavis from Embrace charity so we will sponsor her as she sponsored us last year.
