29th May – Annual Spring Fair
The sun shone and the people shopped!
It was a beautiful sunny day and there was a great atmosphere as Calis hosted another successful Spring fair.
This year 120 stalls lined the main street in Calis for the annual spring fair. even before the official start time of 11am the main street was filling up and by opening time was buzzing with locals and tourists despite the recorded decrease in holiday makers this May.
There was a huge variety of crafts and goods for sale including driftwood, ceramics, leather work, appliqué, wood and marble items, hand-made soaps, jewellery, garden ornaments, cards, soft toys, home-made jams and preserves and numerous other yummy goodies. There were also a number of stalls supporting local charities
The 3C’s are pleased to announce that they raised 4,300 TL from the stall fees and our tombola, raffle and stall sales. This money will go towards funding projects for children in the local area.

An excellent total (especially given the downturn in numbers) and a fitting reward for a huge amount of hard graft.
