Title: Yaka Park
Post by: kenkay on July 25, 2016, 17:39:40 PM
Is it possible to get to Yaka Park by dolmus? I should know after coming for so long  :(

You can't get all the way by dolmus. Some of the Saklikent dolmuses go up to Tlos on their way to the gorge. It's still a bit of a slog up to Yaka Park from there.

If you haven't got your own transport, you're probably best off getting a dolmus to Kemer and then getting a Taxi from there and asking the driver to wait for you at Yaka Park.

And watch out for the fake park.

Oh yes. Remember there's more than one establishment claiming to be Yaka Park.  ;)

Still think it best to hire a car and make your own way, in your own time.

Of course, finances allowing.

Guess UK£ 20.00/ £25.00 per day for car hire but that's a year ago.

Didn't come across the "fake park" but there are far better informed posters than I on this forum and I was probably lucky.

I've always been far happier hiring a car and occasionally getting lost. There've also been happy accidents where I've found some roadside gems e.g. a stone baked trout and flatbread for 4 Lira! (and no tummy upset).

Driving on your own opens up a world of different experiences.

As you climb up to the end of the road the first park is a copy of the second, higher real park. Well worth a visit.

Meals available and a unique bar, along with super seating areas to take it all in and chill out.
