We were travelling into Fethiye as I had a dental appointment. Rain and then thunder and lightening. All the road were awash with water and many flooded. We tried to drive around to look for a parking space, all were taken and cars where parked all over the roads, The one way street was flooded, so many cars just parked up behind other cars and also parked on the pavement, buses could not get passed it was sheer bedlam. Never seen rain like it. Watched one old couple getting on a bus up to their knees in water. I had to ring and cancel. Seems like Calis did not fair as badly, but heard from a friend in Fethiye that her shop was flooded.

We got away lightly in Kaya. We could hear the thunder and saw the lightning, and it rained for maybe half an hour, but that was it....still got out to walk the dog afterwards and didn't get muddy!
Got to love the localised weather conditions here. ;D
