When you come into the village from the Hisaronu direction, the second building on your right, has, on the 3rd floor a number of carved heads and busts. The old man you saw is the sculptor of these beautiful works of art.

Thank you KKK you obviously know who I met as I never mentioned an age.  It must have been the description I gave -A gent.
Next time I go there I will look out for the house.

Every day, whatever the weather, he walks from his house to Hisaronu, buys a paper and a loaf of bread, and walks back.

I've stopped several times to offer a lift and each time he has refused. (Obviously my driving reputation goes before me !! ).

KKOB on my recent visit to Kaya I looked out for and spotted the house and sculptures that you spoke about.  Thank you for the information.
