Cheers Restaurant Ovacik (not Cheers Bar Hisaronu)
« on: May 28, 2007, 21:09:22 PM »
Sorry for the duplication.  I posted this under bar restaurant reviews but I was so impressed with the food here I though it was worth repeating in the relevant "local" forum

Just back from Ovacik and had several visits to Cheers restaurant in Ovacik.

It's located a minute or so walk from the Orka hotel towards Hisaronu.

It's a new business run / owned by Ugur (pronounced Oor). He was a waiter in Megri Lokanta in Fethiye for 12 years and brought a Megri chef with him.  I recognised him when I was walking past Cheers and went in to give it a try.

The food is excellent (Megri Lokanta excellent) and the service is very friendly and low key. The food is Turkish focused but it has something for everyone and is very reasonably priced. Ugur is extremely serious about the food he serves. It is definitely not just another "turkish food" restaurant.

Cheers Restaurant is a major boon for Ovacik.     I think he may be chnaging the names to "3 Cheers" so if he does it's the next restaurant along from the "Best Supermarket"

EDIT  -  IT DOES DELIVERIES !

Highly highly recommended ... especially the Beyti Kebab

One review was enough!

Pasting the same into 2 sections doesn't help.

OK doke.  I'll consider my bottom well and truly spanked   (but I thought it did help  ;) ).

I couldn't decide which forum to post it and thought I'd give the non-Ovacikers the chance add it to their list.

The restaurant is getting calls from Turkish people in Fethiye to deliver food there !

I apologise for my transgression

Tis no problem, I understand your desire to get your big news over.

It's maybe a little confusing, as "Bar & Restaurant Reviews" comes under the "Calis Beach" Section. In truth either would have done, both is a little excessive  :)
