Following the excellent topic from Denniz, I thought I'd add some photo's of Fethiye from yesteryear. I also have some not so old (but not so developed) Calis photo's to scan and add, I'll do that when I get a chance:

The last set look to be taken from cemetery hill?

I have the modern day equivalent 8)

Looks like the last ones are dated 1966 - which would mean not too long after the earthquake. The buildings look almost like an RAF base, very regimented and dull - possibly because of a requirement for quick housing after such a disaster?

 :) Scun they are sound, I would love to see some more, I think its the Orient that have some old photos up, Cant help thinking what all the older generation are thinking after seeing all the changes there. ;)

Interesting that in the 1966 ones it seems they have already started building out towards Calis even when only a few years earlier there was nothing but water there.:D
