Following the excellent topic from Denniz, I thought I'd add some photo's of Fethiye from yesteryear. I also have some not so old (but not so developed) Calis photo's to scan and add, I'll do that when I get a chance:

The last set look to be taken from cemetery hill?

I have the modern day equivalent

Looks like the last ones are dated 1966 - which would mean not too long after the earthquake. The buildings look almost like an RAF base, very regimented and dull - possibly because of a requirement for quick housing after such a disaster?

Scun they are sound, I would love to see some more, I think its the Orient that have some old photos up, Cant help thinking what all the older generation are thinking after seeing all the changes there.

Interesting that in the 1966 ones it seems they have already started building out towards Calis even when only a few years earlier there was nothing but water there.

Be nice to have a now & then view side by side. I'll have to dig mine out from 12 years ago. I KNOW I have them somewhere[?]
