mooring fees

Has anybody a clue as to prices of mooring fees. As I am thinking when we come over for good I may sail over and have the boat in turkey. Or will it be like a car and only allowed for 6 months

Last I heard is that for foreign registered vessels its five years before you need "permission", as long as it leaves harbour once every two years.  Not sure exactly what happens after five years as no-one I know has kept one here that long.  Suspect you'll have to officially import it (change flag) and pay tax - but I'm sure there'll be a way round it.

Don't know about Fethiye but Gocek is between 90€ & 100€ per square metre of berthing, per year.

The boat can be renewed for another 5 years.
In Fethiye I was quoted E 1880 for one year for an 8 x 4.19 m Catamaran.

Hi John
Not sure but for the first 5 years it's just in your passport when your there and then taken out and locked up when your not. You can actually be on your boat sometimes whith out it being in your passport but you cannot sail.

The sailing licence you need used to be valid for three months but now for one year. However if you take your boat out of the country then you have to surrender it, then get a new one when u come back.

Kemmer Marina was offering one year at around 1700 EU and that is in the water or on the hard standing. I would of gone for that as they have a good live in winter clients and organise lots of events. One of the problems about Fethiye is that you cannot, basically, carry out any maintenance in the marina.
But , it's only 15 mins walk from the house so difficult to beat.

Hope this helps

Steve
