I was wondering, do you take your rubbish to the big bins at the ends of the roads like we do in Calis?

Yes I am delighted that we have a new Bimms near Alo Cafe thats just round the corner from our place. It is handy.
By the way since our road was relayed our bin has gone and we now have to walk quite a way down the road to empty our rubbish. Anyway im so happy to be in Turkey I skip to the bin He He

Apart from the excellent service provided by our rubbish disposal operators, last year I spotted early in the morning whilst walking the dog a couple of Turkish gentlemen engaged in what I thought was a pilot scheme, organised by the council, sorting out the rubbish. The first enviromental officer, about 18 yrs old, head buried in the bin, arse in the air, sorted out the edibles, old bread, fruit, veg etc, obviously destined for the family goat,or chickens etc, well,I hope it was.Second guy was really organised, old quad bike, festooned with large plasic bags.Stop at bin, pull out plastic bags, empty, sort out, half eaten pots of caviar in that bag on quad bike, half empty bottles of champers in that bag, etc, etc. He was clean, wore gloves, always rebagged everything and replaced in bin.
Unfortunately have'nt seen them this year, young ones probably in the army, and quad bike man has probably bought a big villa, top of the range beema and is retired.
Bet you have'nt got any enviromental bin sorters in Calis, nowt goes in the bins,I'll refrain from saying the obvious:P

I have to completely agree with Keith on this one.. The amount of rubbish on the Babadag Road, and in particular opposite the Sun Set Apart Otel / Evita is appalling. I also noticed a lack of silver bins provided for each road. I did visit the Olu Deniz Municipality to ask for additional bins, and I suggest that we should all be doing this if there are not enough bins provided. I know it's the busiest time of the year etc, but there really is no excuse for this. I also noticed an increased amount of fly-tipping in the area, especially on the dirt road down to the micro-lighting. I genuinely thought this was an official land-fill site!!
