tv via your computer

I have recently been getting mail advertising tv channels via my computer.  I was wondering if it is a scam or genuine, i have already realised that it is not as cheap as advertised but was hoping that someone more knowledgeable than I could post there comments or experiences, many of the emails come from that well know mecca of tv panama!.  So is it a case of if it seems to good to be true it probly is?

We get UK TV via our PC. It's a case of having a UK IP address so that UK TV like BBC & ITV think you are in the UK.
There are companies that will provide you with a proxy address for a fee or you can do it yourself for free....research free proxy addresses.
We mostly download BBC the day after but we find ITV good via LIvestation 80% of the time.
YOu will need to have unlimited download capacity with TTNet.
5 weeks on we are able to view X Factor, I'm a celebrity...and other programs...but remember we are 2 hours behind UK.
ITV so far we have not conqured the download facility so we watch that live.
Darn site better than Digiturk repeats :D ;)

No, that is true Crabbovic. My own opinion is that all the services I have encountered here involve something I don't like, and something worse. I don't believe it is a sustainable service, and I have never seen a viable payment option on any provider's site. Stay well clear.

Fi......Do you use a proxy server and if so which one?  I have tried Anonymouse but the BBC site still tells me I am not in the UK so can't access the TV channels but there is no problem to receiving the radio stations :)

I did a google search for British TV abroad and looked at the first couple of results. One of them had a pdf contract for you to print, fill in and forward. This included your name, address, credit card number, expiry date and the 3 numbers on the back of the card. If there is anyone stupid enough to do that, can you send the card details to me? Be very careful [:o]
