While we are on about English TV - Has anyone tried a freesat box in Turkey?  I ask because I just bought one to get HD TV (free of course) and it's a pretty cool piece of equipment. Just hook it up to your sky dish and away you go. Thing is would it work in Turkey (larger dish needed I know)?

PS - The one I bought - Humax Foxsat is really tiny and would easily fit in your hand luggage.

I understand that although you still need the same size of dish, they do work (why wouldn't they) and perform better than most Sky boxes.

I have one here and well worth it for the HD sport.

All very well but we cannot contact you as you have no email address on your profile so perhaps you could email me to let me have the contact details.
As far as I know to do what you say you must have a proxy server in place with a UK IP address. What guarantees does he give that it will never change?
We have a set up like this but pay per month but that guarantees us that the IP address is permanent.
Would be interested to know what this fellow offers and may well switch.
Get in touch please via my profile.
Thanks
Fi

Would you need a 3mtr dish or a larger one? I've seen reports that larger ones might be needed in our part of Turkey.
