Electrical Repair

Hi. We have a very upset 4 year old.  Her portable dvd player has lost its sound!  It plays perfectly and it only 4 months old.  Can anyone recommend somewhere, where we can get it repaired (sound chip I think) without sending it off to anywhere and getting lost in the postal system. Thanks  :)
