can someone advise me as to what type of account would give best results with £5000 invested for 1 to 2 years and what sort of rate can i expect , i have a gbp account and a ytl account with finans . thanks

If you do not need to touch the money Government bonds may be a better return.

yes they will & rates are higher than bank interest & you pay less tax
