Thanks folks. Unfortunately our friends didn't make it across in June, but I've kept all the tips which will hopefully be useful later in the year.

Just came back today from Celay Hotel ovacik can not fault it big pool also one for the little ones only thing is you have ten minute walk for the dolmus as its a bit out of the way up a bank.Also all rooms overlook the pool.

Blue Star in Olu. Near beach, bars and Dolmus but still quiet. Family run great pool and reasonable rates.
Cannot fault it.

would agree, the Celay is a lovely hotel. Lovely people, nice pool. Gym

Would recommend the Hotel Seden, the best place we have stayed in for comfort/price/location, until we cought our apartment that is and now we stay first class every year. :-\http://www.otelseden.com/otel.html
