I was one of many who attended the social night to raise funds for the Cameli earthquake fund. We had a great time. I read on the Fethiye Times that the money has since been returned, as Government funding was provided,and the money donated instead to FIG and used for a school and medical equipment in the community.
I think that this is a very good outcome and hope that the children benefit from this. A wheelchair was one of the items purchased and that must make such a difference in someone's life.
No more earthquakes hopefully though!
