If there's a road not to stray over the speed limit over there, that's it. Speed traps all along it and they don't mind nicking foreigners :(

Think Scunner is talking about the Dalaman-Fethiye road just after you come out of Dlm.  He's right, there's always speed traps along there.  Also the speed limit wil be 50 then suddenly drop to 30 then go back up to 70 so take care!

Lakers - can you tell me which hire company you're using as we'd like to organise a hire car to be delivered to the aiport instead of using transfers  thanks

I thought of another one [:o]

If you aren't used to driving in Turkey, there is one thing you will never see in the UK and when tired (i.e. after a long day getting up early & flying) can be lethal.

Especially on hill climbs en route, lorries can travel so slowly they are almost stopped. Just be careful as they can go from on the horizon to right in front of you in what can seem like seconds. Take it easy, you can't go too slow in Turkey - if you want to drive slowly there's no road rage, people simply go round you.

 :)

And the most important driving equivalent of "ayran on the cornflakes" is: DON'T STOP AT A FLASHING RED TRAFFIC LIGHT!

I did first time I drove over there :-\ People don't see the funny side  :-\

Sitting in a taxi, driver pulls out to overtake another taxi, a motorbike coming the other way passed between us !!
Driver didn't bat an eye lid.
When I asked him 'Don't you stop at Red lights ?'
He replied ' Only if somthing coming '
Me, well lets just say I think I missed a letter out of the first word of this post.: :)
