There is one road to cross, as Highlander says you can walk along the pavement at the side of the Sevi Hotel and then walk along the road before crossing over to the prom. Or you can cross at the lights which are on the corner with the Sevi, these are now pedestrian lights as well so quite safe. The road is not particularly well lit, but it is quite short and there are properties on both sides which light the way.
