Did you know the big pipe by the rocks going accross the river in picture 1 gets used as a foot bridge?  We use it several times a week - as do many locals, as a short cut. It's a bit tricky up & down the banking now they have done some work widening the river, but all good fun  :) (until I fall in one day) :o.

Lovely pics Tinx makes me want to be there so much.
Sally that pipe used to be covered in some sort of make shift planking so we used to "brave" it and go across like you say it is a good shortcut, we did it one night and I had really high wedge shoes on (stupid I know) I slipped down the bank before i even got to the pipe and banged my head on the ground really hard, there was an old Turkish man waiting to cross the other side he mumbled something to himself as I passed seeing stars and all sorts from my bang on the head which sounded rather like "Idiot"! would be brilliant if another bridge was erected at this point in the river to cut out walking up and then back down on yourself.

Nice pictures Andy, I hear a whisper that most of the soil from the river is outside my front gate :o will see in April. By the way the vet has a box of bits for me so will bring them out.

Hi Glenn, there was banks of soil all the way along the road but I think most of it has been cleared now, they are dredging all the canals and banks, I will post some more pics later today.

great news about the vet bits and pieces ;)
