Residency permit and Turkish income tax
« on: December 12, 2011, 16:30:56 PM »
I want to live 5 months in my house in Fethiye, 3 months in spring, 2 months in Autumn,  I should need a residency as I am staying for more than 3 months (sometimes I stay one month and go back and come again...)

If I take a residency does it also mean that I have to pay income tax in Turkey (you have to give your tax number when you apply) although I live less than 6 months in Turkey (more than 6 months resident in Turkey = income tax to be paid in Turkey)?

Thanks for your advice.

If you are not earning in Turkey you do not pay tax.  The tax number is just a way of identification
