The replacement for upside down bridge is now open to traffic and pedestrians , just a bit bumpy on approach

Hurray, never realised we would miss a bridge so much.  We also think the two shops by the taxi rank must really have suffered from the fact everyone the other side of the bridge could not get to them easily and used other markets.

Yes took our first journey across yesterday afternoon and it was a pleasure, although the adventure of the crossing has gone, and Billy Goat Gruff and the Troll's can no longer be seen.

As people have observed the roads in the area remain in a very bad state, but that has had more to do with the drain/sewage work.

Brilliant - just come back from a month there, and knew it was about to be finished as I left.  Pleased we managed to get up and down the very slippery bank and cross the river by the temporary wooden bridge without breaking any ankles during that time!

Would be grateful to know from anyone how the 'landscaping' around progresses over the next few weeks - if it does...!

Trying to update my old bridge photo for my villa book!  Anyone got a photo of the bridge actually finished?  If so, I'd be very grateful...!  Thanks.

Don't worry, the rattling starts again as soon as you get to the other side ( either way)  :)
