Unfortunately this is an old old problem and just boils down to ingnorance and the ill-informed tourist.
Yeah Bubsmum, so true. People just expect to do and dress any way they like without any respect for people or their cultures.
If I wouldn't wear something walking through my own town, I wouldn't wear it in someone else's.
Bare chested youths, men, irrispective of size, looks or age, repulses and horrifies me when I see them walking about in a built up area. Half dressed for beach or pool only IMHO.
