Travelling to Side by public transport.
« on: October 30, 2012, 17:08:27 PM »
We frequently travel down to Antalyia and stay in the old town of Kalieci, but for a change we decided to venture slightly further afield to Side.
On arrival at the Antalya Bus Stn (Otogar)we were surprised that there was a service every 20 mins to (Manavgat) which passes Side. Its advisable to mention to the driver that it is Side (in our case we wished to stay in old town) and they drop you were there is a service  bus acting as a feeder (no charge) into Side.We told the dolmush driver we needed the old town so for a few lira he took us to the car park where you pick up for 1lira the service bus into the old town. Its all very well organised and later we did the return to Manavgat and then down the river to see the falls.
Journey time to Antalya is 3.5hrs cost 25tl
    "          "         Ant/Side approx 1hr 40 depends on traffic out of Antalya cost 10tl
    "          "         Side/Manavgat 20mins app cost 2tl
Boat from Side to Manavgat can be booked if you want to go via organised tour costs 25/30tl.
We later rounded of our holiday with a few nights back in old Kalieci.
