Hotel Searches for Turkey Plummet
« on: June 11, 2013, 15:41:29 PM »
“Although the riots have been primarily located in Istanbul and Ankara, the popular coastal resorts of Antalya, Bodrum, Izmir, Cesme, Marmaris, Kusadasi and Fethiye have also experienced a combined decrease in hotel searches of 81 per cent.”

Istanbul searches down 99%.

The prices certainly do NOT reflect the downturn. The prices of hotels in Istanbul have been cut but they still remain expensive.  I got an excellent deal for the Aymes Hotel in Calis and a good deal for a hotel in Kusadasi.  I'm still looking for something for 4 nights in Istanbul from 19 Sept.  the prices are ridiculous.

The flights don't reflect it either. Our flights are £49 dearer then when we booked them 2 weeks ago.
