The Digiturk movie package at a little under 50tl per month will give you BBC Entertainment and more movies than you will have time to watch. About a million times better than what you get on SKY in the UK for double the money. You do have to buy the box and pay for installation of the dish initially and if you move pay again to have it reset but it does not cost that much.

BBC Entertainment is a bit slow at bringing the latest dramas to the screen but isn't too bad assuming you haven't already seen them in the UK. Plus CNBC has films on most nights at 10pm and some half decent American series and comedy throughout the weekday evenings all repeated over the weekend.

Personally that's enough for me although if you set up on your computer or download the Filmon TV application you can get loads of free channels that include all the main UK TV channels through your TV if you have a connection lead.

Digiturk has lots of other channels in English and all the international news channels which can take a bit of getting used; realizing the world does not revolve around what's going on in the UK.

Hope that helps.

Why not watch it on your TV but via your computer with an HDMI lead and possibly an I player booster speaker. It's live and absolutely free via Filmon. You can get BBC1,2,3&4, ITV1,2,3&4, Ch4, Ch5 plus many others
Tonight I watched Open Golf, Emmerdale, Corrie and Big Brother (Saddo me  >:()

Hi Snowdrop. I don't get sound, hence the speaker plugged into laptop. This is OK but I have to place laptop on floor in front of TV. I'm told there is something I can alter in control panel. Any suggestions what, please.

You don't get sound via HDMI? Not all laptops and/or graphics cards support it unfortunately. If you open the start menu and search for 'manage audio devices' you might be able to find a HDMI sound device. It will be listed separately from your laptop speakers. It is not the SPDIF output that is an optical out. There may be a box that will take HDMI and stereo and combine it but I don't know where to get one over here at the moment, possibly Gold
