Hooray at last got film on ,all channels very good ,no buffering ,no adverts ,plus you can record programs £ 50 one off payment . ;D

I get film on and think its great. I presume the 50 quid is for recording. I don't pay anything at moment.

Yes you can there are any number of free Video Capture applications available. CAMSTUDIO or Debut are both very good.

Yes technically you can record for nowt. Filmon charge for that service.

go into free Filmon, click on ''UK Live TV''.  Choose the logo for the channel you want to watch and you will see to the right a yellow stripe with ''Live'' written on it.  To the right of that yellow line you will see ''TV'' with three horizontal lines on a grey background.  Click on that and you can record for free, I have used it many times

Seems to be a few options with Filmon - at present we have 10 hours free recording - there are short adverts when you change channels but in most cases you can skip them after 5 seconds.
