Water tank
« on: September 09, 2013, 19:09:13 PM »
Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. We had a new water tank on the roof of our apartment fitted 3 weeks ago. Since then, our hot water has been coming out of the tap the same colour as milk. When we put it into a glass, it clears after about a minute. Just wonder if anyone knows why, and if it will eventually clear.

It's just air in the tank and will clear after a while.

I agree with Jacqui, it should just be the residual air left after the installation. However, should it continue then it may be an indication of an air leak somewhere in that system. If this is so, then you should refer back to the installer or builder immediately. Time will tell.

Thanks for all your advice. I informed the Minister of War about this when we first had it installed, and said it may need to empty and fill up a couple of times to clear it. But she never believes me.  :)
