Construction
« on: September 11, 2013, 20:13:57 PM »
Hi,

I dont normally travel on the Olu road from Fethiye but as I was trying to source a Soba just recently. I drove passed the huge construction site which is next to the Carrefour complex in front of the main Otogar. I first noticed it a few weeks ago when a huge crane was erected there but never thought anymore until I passed it this week. Unfortunately, as most will know it is not advisable to take your eyes off driving whilst on any part of that road!(or any other in Turkey!!!) So. all I could see were various images, very fleetingly of some sort of structure on the site hoardings. Can anyone tell what is going up there?? Obviously it is major works.

That's what it , plus some amenities for public use, and of course the three 'saved' trees. No Gezi park in Fethiye from the local mayor. Yer right!! :-X

More shops or perhaps better described as retail therapy for the masses.  Just what Fethiye needs more shops!!

All the locals we have spoken to this week are really excited about the new shopping mall.

One of the  Emlaks staff told me she was looking forward to being able to buy better clothes and says that people from all over the region will be attracted to Fethiye because of it.
