Jewel in the Crown Holidays, the largest independent Tour Operator to Turkey, has today ceased trading and is being placed into liquidation.
It is with great regret that we have to advise that Jewel in the Crown Holidays Ltd (
www.jewelholidays.com) is ceasing to trade on Friday 1st April 2016. The company is a specialist tour operator which has been trading for 29 years with an annual capacity of 18,000 passengers to Turkey.
The business to Turkey has been challenging for the last two years . We had hoped that the political situation in Turkey would improve but sadly this has not happened. We can confirm that there are currently no passengers overseas.
The Directors of Jewel in the Crown Holidays Ltd (also trading as Jewel of Turkey and Jewel of Goa) would like to apologise to both our UK and overseas staff, our loyal clients, our UK Travel Agents, our hoteliers and our overseas Agents, and thank them for all their help over the last 29 years.
There are some forward bookings for summer 2016 but unfortunately these holidays cannot be honoured by the company as recent negotiations with flight suppliers have not been successful. Customers or agents holding bookings may submit a claim for monies paid to either ATOL (reference 3906) or their credit card providers (if applicable). For further information in respect of ATOL claims please visit
