I got a shock when I was recently told my apartment has a shared water meter with the apartment next door? How can this be?

The water meter is located in the other ajoining apartment.  I've no idea but so far I've not had to pay anything!

Even the tenant in the apartment with the shared meters does not know how it works apparently the meter in my apartment has to be read before the bills in the other apartment can be agreed on and paid.  I do not like the sound of this at all.

Linda on your profile it says you are in the UK. Yet you post as if you are living in Turkey. It would help if you were to put Turkey on your profile if thats where your actual location is  :)
